A mysterious life - by Winnie teamkenya Jul 26

My dear reader I have come to realise that a child when left alone in the world is controlled by one of two powers, good or bad , right or wrong. Everyone is challanged by these two forces of life , each must choose which life she or he must live.

WinnyWinny

I therefore say an oprhan is an unfortunate child and more exposed to attack of the devil than children with parents. Mother is the protector of body and soul; but it becomes double tragedy when both parents are lost and more so in mysterious circumstances.

My parents were not classified among the rich, but my dad was privaledged to inherit 7 hectares of land from my grandmother , a blessing which has today brought the greatest misfortunte ever recorded in the history of our family .We were a happy family with five children , Jospehine, Walter , Mildred , Winnie and Calvince . After having the first 3 children my parents waited two years before having me and my younger brother , this brought real happiness to the family but this happiness was short lived as the first tragedy struck , my lovely and caring father passed away , he was alleged to have died owing to witchcraft and then four  years later my mother died.

Two year after the death of my parents my eldest sister got married and the second one followed , it was a chain of tragedy in the life of my younger brother ,as we were  a humble but otherwise happy family .My younger brother and I were sent to my grandparents were I completed my primary education and learned up to form 2 when my grandfather passed away ,leaving us with grandmother bearhanded with nothing to support us .After the ceremony that goes with the burrial an unknown relative collected my  younger  brother  Calvince .I did not know where he was until this year when I was told he has been staying with the sister to my mum.

I was forced by severe maltreatment to stay with my grand mother and go on with my education as I was 16 years old . This event seemed to have brought me to the end of my worthwhile living ,as I questioned myself "is there anyone who is concerned about  a little girls misfortune ?" But through my mothers prayers when she was still alive  God  has provided me with parents that I would like to mention in this short story .

I always thank and enjoy the goodness that the Team Kenya has really done for me , more so the support and assistance that  I have  been given by  Val Wilson and (Caroline as the coordinator of the sponsored students) ,I have been in difficulties but I have to appreciate the work of their hand because I am able to be in school as a pre candidate ,which I knew I could not without them .

I therefore conclude by saying when things really look bad I remember that somebody has a surprise up his sleeve.

There is one who will never betray me when I am in difficulty
