New Corporate Partnership with McKesson
We are delighted to share that Team Kenya has been selected as the charity partner for ‘The Paddington Bears’ McKesson, London Paddington office.
The partnership was made possible thanks to Molly, an alumni of the Newcastle University Team Kenya Society, and will run across 2021-22.
When asked about the partnership, a spokesperson for McKesson said:
We are inspired by Team Kenya’s vision for every girl in Kenya to have an equal chance to achieve her potential and be free from poverty. At McKesson, the way we do business is just as important as the business itself, our I2CARE values are foundational to all that we do and our partnership with Team Kenya shares the fundamental values of Collaboration, Integrity, Inclusion and Respect, as well as supporting our equal opportunity, gender equality and diversity principles. We are delighted for the opportunity to learn more about the reality of gender inequality and support the transformation Team Kenya is leading in the Ndhiwa community (Western Kenya).
The Paddington Bears have already set out to raise awareness of the disproportionate inequalities facing vulnerable girls in marginalised communities in Ndhiwa, Kenya amongst their incredible colleagues, family and friends! Between 21-28 June, the Paddington office challenged themselves to complete 20,000 squats and/or sit-ups! Why 20,000? Because that is the number of girls whose lives have been transformed with Team Kenya since 2008. Everyone involved completely smashed their goal with 22,583 squats and sit-ups!
We extend the warmest of welcomes as McKesson join #OurTeamKenya and we look forward to empowering more girls together!
